OEKC Round 3 – Bayford Meadows
May 18th 2014
We were immediately on the back foot before we even turned a wheel. After the last round with two blown engines, it was a race against time to get them rebuilt along with building and prepping the kart. This meant we couldn’t test at Bayford, a track new to our championship.
The morning practice was hampered by our rear hub which was jammed and unable to adjust. Once we fixed the issue, the practice session was over.
We qualified third for this race and made a clean start which saw us in first position by turn 3. We knew we didn’t have the pace of the front runners this round so tried to get as many points as possible.
Thankfully, the race was non-eventful and we finished in 9th position from 26 teams, collecting some good points.
